Virginia Commonwealth University is a public research university in Richmond, Virginia, serving more than 30,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on two campuses within the city limits.

Three schools and fifteen departments / programs make up the VCU College of Humanities and Sciences, located on the Monroe Park campus within the historic Fan District. As the academic heart and soul of the Monroe Park campus, the College matriculates nearly 15,000 students and is the alma mater for approximately 40,000 alumni (more than 25% of all VCU alumni).
